Edith & Carter - all we ask is that you give them a chance. Please don’t scroll past.Age is not on their side… but neither was life.
At 12 years old, this beautiful brother and sister pair have been failed in the cruellest way imaginable.
Their owner was arrested, the house was shut down, and despite being given chance after chance to help the three cats left behind, their previous owner washed her hands of them.
For THREE months they survived alone.
Fed only occasionally by the council, forgotten and abandoned in a filthy house filled with overflowing litter trays, faeces, fleas and the unbearable smell of neglect.
But Kerry and Julie refused to give up on them.
After relentlessly pushing for permission to help, they finally walked through that front door… and were met by six terrified eyes staring back, pleading to be saved.
There were three cats trapped inside that hell:
* Irene - just 8 months old (who is also available for adoption)
* Edith & Carter - 12 years old and clinging only to each other
These cats were starving. Weak. Flea-ridden. Forgotten.
Kerry and Julie had no foster spaces lined up, no plan. Just 3 cat carriers and a promise:
“You will never be failed like this again.”
And somehow, those cats knew they meant it.
Fosters were found; Irene went to her foster home, and Edith & Carter stayed together - because after 12 years side by side, we could never separate them.
Despite everything they endured, they are gentle souls. They have been treated for fleas, worms and only have minor dental disease. Honestly, considering the conditions they survived in, it’s a miracle they are as well as they are.
But now comes the hardest part…
Who adopts a bonded pair of 12-year-old cats?
The truth is, senior cats are so often overlooked. People scroll past them in favour of younger cats with their whole lives ahead of them. But Edith & Carter deserve love too.
They deserve a home where they will never again wonder if they’ve been abandoned.
Please, if you have room in your heart and home, consider giving these two the happy ending they have always deserved.
No animal should spend the final chapter of their life unwanted and unloved.
Please adopt Edith & Carter. They must be adopted together.

💙 Meet Blue – as written by his foster 😊
A very sweet, gentle 10 year old boy who happens also to be deaf and is looking to find his forever home.
Despite his hearing challenges, this doesn’t hold him back at all – Blue is a cautious, affectionate, and full of personality.
He is a calm and loving cat who enjoys spending time with people he trusts. Once he feels comfortable, Blue loves attention, quiet companionship, and relaxing in a cosy spot nearby. He may be a little reserved at first, but he settles well with patience and kindness.
Age doesn't define him. He is active and can jump very high when playing with the fishing wand. Crinkle balls and fishing wand with plush worm are his favourite toys 🥰
Because Blue is deaf, he is looking for a home that understands his needs and will keep him safely indoors or in a secure environment. He is an intelligent boy who quickly learns routines through sight and vibration cues.
Blue’s requirements:
✅ Indoor/secure catio
✅ Older children
✅ Calm home with time and patience given to him, to allow Blue to build trust at his own pace
✅ Maybe ok with another cat
If you’re looking for a loyal, gentle companion who will reward patience with affection, Blue could be the perfect match.
📍 Blue is currently with his foster in Fulham
Have your Kleenexes ready……
All cats are special, but Daisy is truly one in a million.
We first heard about Daisy when we were sent a video from a chaotic student house. She was being kept locked in a cupboard, having just given birth to two sweet babies who sadly didn’t make it. Our hearts broke for her, and we knew we had to step in immediately.
But the universe had a bigger plan for Daisy….
The very same evening, we received an urgent call about two orphaned newborn kittens who had just lost their mother. Once we had coordinated the pick ups and arranged a maternity foster, we introduced the babies to Daisy, and what happened next was pure magic—she instantly took them in, and as you can see, all three of them absolutely blossomed together.
At just [Insert Age] years old, Daisy is still very young herself. Now that her adoptive babies are big enough to spread their wings, this devoted mama is ready for some well-deserved "me" time.
Daisy is looking for a loving forever home where she can finally be the center of attention and get spoiled just like she deserves.
Daisy is incredibly friendly, chatty, and absolutely loves human company. She can be a little shy at first and takes a moment to warm up to new faces, so her new family will just need a tiny bit of patience. But trust us, it’s worth the wait! Once you earn her trust, she’s a total cuddle bug who will happily let you brush her all day long!
This one in a million mama will need:
✅ Garden/outside access
✅ Fine with children
✅ Has not been tested with other pets so proper introductions would be needed
✅ A cat brush 😺
✅ Daisy is ready for adoption on/after 6th June
Could you be the one to give this brave, sweet girl her happy ending?
📍Daisy is currently with her foster in Richmond
We never thought this day would come… but Roy is ready for adoption.
Roy broke many hearts when he first arrived with us after years of being ignored and neglected. He came to us as an unneutered stray tom with horrific cherry eyes, terrible bite wounds, and in desperate need of help.
At first, the extent of his physical injuries wasn’t even our biggest worry it was Roy’s mental wellbeing. We worried whether he would allow us to help him, trust us, and heal.
But Roy has absolutely amazed us.
He has come on leaps and bounds and underneath that tough exterior is one of the kindest boys you could ever meet.
We estimate Roy to be around 8–10 years old. Sadly, due to severe dental disease, he had to have most of his teeth removed.
On first impressions, Roy can seem a little intimidating, but once you earn his trust, he wants nothing but love.
🖤 He is a true lap cat
🖤 He loves head bumps and purring
🖤 He sleeps tucked tightly beside you all night
🖤 He follows you around waiting for you to sit down so he can climb onto your lap
🖤 He takes his role as toilet companion and bathroom security very seriously
Is Roy perfect? No
Roy can sometimes be reactive, but he gives very clear signals when he feels overwhelmed or has had enough.
Importantly, as Mr Gummy only has one tooth left, he isn’t doing any damage.
Over the weeks in foster with Kerry, he has done nothing but continue to blossom and show just how loving he can be.
We think Roy would enjoy access to a garden, he is fine around cats & dogs, but we would suggest an adult-only home or older, calm children, as Roy doesn’t enjoy fast movements.
📍Roy is currently in foster in Battersea, London.
Roy would make someone who lives alone the most wonderful companion. He doesn’t ask for much. Just love.
Can you offer Roy the forever home he has waited so long for? ❤️
AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!
🐾Mario – what a handsome British Shorthair boy!
3 year old Mario came into our care around a month ago with a horrific wound. Sadly, his previous owners didn’t want to take on the financial cost of his veterinary treatment, so he became a PP cat and since then, he’s been healing beautifully.
Since arriving with us, Mario has been nothing short of perfect.
This gorgeous boy is looking for:
✅ Garden/outside access
✅ Fine with children and other cats
✅ Some stairs to perfect his majestic furry, hanging drumstick, position! We dare you to boop his toe beans.
Mario is sweet, affectionate and ready for his forever family. Could you invite this handsome chunk into your life?
📍 Mario is currently with his foster in Shepherd’s Bush
We are going to struggle to ever put into words the pain and suffering one little cat can endure.
Imagine being just a baby yourself… pregnant, alone, terrified.
Then imagine your leg hanging off, torn from your body, infected, bleeding, the pain unbearable.
That was Clover.
Clover came to us in labour, her leg literally ripped away from her body. Every contraction must have felt agonising, but somehow she stayed silent. In her mind, if she cried out, she and her babies would be found and they would not be safe.
Despite everything, this brave little soul carried on and safely delivered two beautiful kittens.
As soon as her labour was over, we had to make the heartbreaking decision to amputate her leg to save her life. We truly believed she would be too weak, too poorly, and in far too much pain to care for her newborn babies.
But Clover had other ideas.
The moment we tried to step in and take over, she made it crystal clear that she was a mother before anything else. She would endure the pain. She would fight through recovery. And she would feed and protect her babies no matter what.
And she did.
We watched in complete amazement as this beautiful young cat fought to survive while raising her kittens with nothing but love and devotion. She was the most incredible mother, despite everything she had suffered.
Clover has now raised her babies and is finally ready for a life where she will never know pain, fear, or hunger again. She deserves a home that will cherish her, spoil her, and reward her for the rest of her life for being nothing short of extraordinary.
You are safe now, baby girl.
Clover is now looking for her own safe space. She will need to be the only pet, and would be ok with cat friendly older children. She will need an indoor home or home with enclosed garden.
Please consider adopting our beautiful Clover and, if you can, donate to help us continue saving animals just like her. Every single donation helps us keep fighting for the forgotten ones.
Meet Garry. Yes with two R’s.
He’s had a bit of a whirlwind world tour lately—moving between three foster homes in two months. Honestly? It was a bit much for the lad, and he arrived feeling a tad spicy and overstimulated.
With his current foster, he’s found his zen and is now looking for his forever home.
Garry is approximately 3.5 years old, has constant FOMO and has an open door policy - he wants to know what’s going on at all times and he’ll express his opinion on the situation….loudly.
Garry loves humans and fellow cats. That said, he’s not "clings-to-your-leg" needy. He likes his "me time" after a heavy session of socializing.
His favourite pastime is Catnip and tunnels. Oh and wand toys; it it moves, I chases, is Garry’s motto.
Garry would need:
✅ Outdoor/Garden access
✅ Fine with another cat with slow introductions
✅ Adult only household - Teen+ children maybe considered
✅ Tunnels/wands and Catnip - non negotiable
With a little bit of consistency and patience, Garry’s ready to blossom into the incredible companion we know he can be.
Could you be Garry’s next and permanent move?
📍 Garry is currently with his foster in Putney
Harley isn’t into this “small personality” nonsense. He owns the room. He talks, chills, plays, keeps you laughing, and definitely keeps you on your toes. If you annoy him, you might get a little slap followed by a look that says, “Well… your fault for breathing so loud.”
His absolute favourite thing? Being noticed. The second you join a Zoom meeting, Harley will make sure he’s heard in the boardroom too.
At around 1 year old, Harley was surrendered to a vet as an unneutered male. In a new environment, he was understandably terrified, and words like “feral” got thrown around. But when he came to us and we gave him time, we realised that wasn’t true at all.
Opinionated? Absolutely.
Feral? Not even close.
Harley wants love - lots of it -right up until the moment he decides he’s done and you need to respectfully back off. Honestly… sounds like a fairly standard cat to us.
What Harley needs isn’t neuter-and-release or life on a farm. He needs people who understand cat behaviour, who can read his signals, respect his boundaries, and appreciate him for exactly who he is.
He’s not what most people would call “perfect,” and he will need the right home:
• No other animals
• No young children
• Experienced, cat-savvy humans only
But Harley is still a soul who has been let down. We don’t know what happened to make him so defensive at times - fear, past experiences, instability - but we do know he deserves patience, understanding, and a real chance at happiness.
Somewhere out there is someone who will absolutely adore this larger-than-life boy, attitude and all.

BRIXTON’S MOST WANTED 🦹
Meet Toby & Tallulah aka The Chicken Shop Bandits!
These two yutes pulled up from the streets of Brixton after their old yard sadly had to let them go because of allergies. Now they’re looking for a new forever crib TOGETHER because listen… these man, are fully codependent kitties!
Tallulah (5 months) is the loud-mouth gyal running the block. Toby (3 months) is her little apprentice roadman with absolutely NO thoughts behind the eyes except “where food?”
Separate them and it’s instantly: “BROOOO WHERE YOU GOIN FAM?!”
Meowing like someone’s stolen their Oyster card.
They’re not blood siblings but act like they survived Peckham Market together in the trenches.
Certified food inspectors, sofa parkour professionals who are calm with kids, fine with other cats and dogs.
They will need a garden so they can patrol the perimeter like South London neighbourhood watch. Tallulah moves like she owns a lash business in Croydon and Toby follows her round like:
“yeah whatever she said”
These two got more gossip than aunties at Morley’s and more energy than Brixton station at rush hour. Adopt them if you’re ready for:
Zero privacy
Random 3am zoomies - don’t say we didn’t warn you!
Being stared at while eating chicken and hearing “MROW?” every time you enter the kitchen 😃

Proper little South London gremlins but absolute sweethearts. Apply now!
Meet Dudley ❤️
Dudley may not fit the stereotypical profile of the “handsome, fluffy cat” that people scroll past and instantly fall in love with - we know that. But what Dudley is, is kind, gentle, forgiving, and full of love despite everything he’s been through.
Dudley is around 9 years old, and the condition he came to us in was nothing short of heartbreaking. His beautiful tabby fur was stained with blood and filth from the life he had been surviving on the streets. His body carried scars from countless fights caused by being unneutered and left to fend for himself. Simply looking at Dudley tells the story of a life that certainly didn’t begin happily.
But we are determined to make sure he gets the happy ending he deserves.
Despite everything, Dudley has the sweetest soul. He is cat friendly and quickly made friends with the resident Protected Paws cats. He has such a calm, gentle nature and has slowly learned to trust and feel safe.
Dudley is looking for a home with:
✅ An enclosed garden
✅ Other friendly cats if possible
✅ Older children would be fine
One thing we do need to mention is that Dudley is FIV positive. He is fine to live with other cats who do not have FIV (as you can see from his photos) and the virus does not transmit to humans.
We know that for some people this may make them overlook him, but every animal deserves love, safety, and a family of their own.
He’s just a boy standing in front of an adopter, asking them to love him 🥺❤️
If you think you could offer Dudley the forever home he’s waited so long for, please complete an adoption application form.
📍Dudley is currently with his foster in St Margarets
Be prepared to fall in love over and over again!
Please meet - 10 week old boy band Rum, Gin, Hennessy, Vodka and Tequila….don’t worry, we’ve checked on the individual who named them to make sure she’s ok 😂
These sweet babies were left at the vet without their mama. While we don't know the story behind how they got there, we do know one thing for certain: they are absolutely adorable and ready for love!
Please meet the gang:
Vodka:
Extremely playful loving boy. Was initially slightly timid, but soon came out of his shell. Loves being held like a baby and rocked to sleep🤣 Loves toys and watching cat tv. Is confident meeting new people.
Tequila:
Initially on the timid side around people but slowly coming out of his shell. He has started enjoying belly tickles and is happy getting stroked. Very playful (they all are!) loves cuddling with his brothers.
Hennessy:
Very confident and super playful! Loves being around people and his brothers. Has a mega purr!
Rum:
Probably the most timid, but is absolutely growing in confidence each day. Playful with his brothers and loves playing catch with a ball. Needs to grow more confidence when being stroked but he’s getting there! Give him a little time to fully open up and he will be a very loving boy
Gin:
He may be the smallest but certainly the most confident from the get go. Loves playing with his brothers but also loves a cuddle. He’ll be the first to come and cuddle up on your knee 🥹
The kittens will need to be adopted as follows:
Rum & Vodka
Hennessy & Tequila
Gin may be adopted on his own but he will need to have a furry friend in his forever home.
All the kittens will need:
✅ Garden
✅ Fine with children
✅ Fine with other cats and dogs provided proper introduction is followed
✅ A little patience as they’re still finding their paws in this world 😊
Hennessy and Tequila will be ready on the 24th May and Gin, Vodka and Rum will be ready around 7th/8th June.
📍They are currently causing chaos with their foster in NW1
Floyd is a young Bengal boy with the most beautiful markings, endless energy, and a heart full of love. Sadly, like many Bengals bred for their striking looks, Floyd has been left with a congenital heart condition called HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy).
Floyd came into the care of Protected Paws last month after being found as a stray. Despite attempts to contact his owner through calls and letters, nobody came forward for him.
When he arrived, we discovered he had a grade 3 heart murmur. After a heart scan, vets confirmed he has early-stage HCM linked to his breed. The amazing thing? Floyd doesn’t let it slow him down one bit. He’s still a happy, playful, affectionate young boy who loves attention and dreams of a forever home with a garden to explore.
We understand that taking on a pet with a pre-existing condition can feel daunting, which is why Protected Paws will help contribute to the ongoing costs related to Floyd’s heart condition, subject to agreed terms.
Floyd would:
✅ Thrive in a busy family home with children to play with, plenty of fun and humans who will adore him as much as he’ll adore them.
✅ Access to outside/garden.
✅ Not tested with other cats, however if you do have another cat, please describe their personality on the adoption form.
He’s full of life, love, and mischief and he deserves the chance to finally be someone’s forever best friend.
Could you be the happy ending Floyd has been waiting for?
📍Floyd is currently with his foster in Sydenham
This handsome boy is around 6 months old and is looking for his forever home. Vin Diesel came into our care as an owner surrender due to allergies, and although he’s clearly been well looked after, he’s now ready for a fresh start with a family of his own.
He isn’t your typical high-energy kitten – he’s a super chill, happy little guy who prefers lounging, cuddles, and enjoying the simple things in life. His favourite pastimes include devouring Dreamies, soaking up tummy rubs, and adorably suckling on his blanket when he’s feeling extra cosy.
He is incredibly soft, absolutely beautiful, and has the sweetest, most relaxed nature.
* Vin Diesel needs a home with a garden where he can safely explore.
* He’s not currently a fan of other pets, so he’ll need to be the only animal in the household. • • •Older, cat-savvy children would be just fine for this laid-back lad.
📍 Currently in foster in Slough.
If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate companion with a big personality (and an even bigger love for treats), Vin Diesel might just be your perfect match.
Irene is a beautiful young rescue cat, around 9 months old, who will be ready for her forever home from next week once she’s been spayed.
This little lady is full of life—energetic, outgoing, and always up for fun. She absolutely loves people and thrives on attention, making her the perfect companion for someone who is home often. If you work from home or spend a lot of time around the house, Irene will happily keep you company (and probably try to join in on whatever you’re doing!).
Playtime is her favourite time—she adores interactive games and will keep you entertained with her playful personality. She’s also cat-friendly, so she could happily share her home with another feline friend.
Irene would be best suited to a home with adults or older children who can match her energy and respect her playful nature. She will need access to a garden where she can explore and burn off some of that youthful energy.
If you’re looking for a lively, affectionate companion who will bring fun and warmth into your home, Irene could be the perfect match.
Trixie’s foster, Laura, wrote her adoption post so we’ll hand the words over to her……
Meet Trixie — the ultimate lap‑loving companion.
Trixie is a 6 month old, gentle, affectionate cat who thrives in a sociable home with plenty of people to adore. She’s wonderfully laid back and happiest when she’s curled up on the sofa or snuggled into your lap, purring away with her lovely, loud motor.
One of her sweetest habits is her enthusiastic biscuit‑making. She’ll knead away contently, give you a little “massage,” and then wrap her paws around your arm as if to say she’d quite like you to stay right where you are. She’s a cat who loves deeply and shows it.
Trixie is also a keen participant in anything involving a laptop. If you work from home, expect a new furry colleague who takes her supervisory duties very seriously.
She’s a confident communicator when it comes to mealtimes — Trixie loves her food and won’t hesitate to remind you when dinner is due or when she feels a treat might be appropriate.
Trixie would suit:
✅ A busy, friendly household
✅ A home where she can be the only pet, as she prefers all the attention for herself 😃
✅ Garden/Outdoor access
✅ Fine with children
✅ People who enjoy a cuddly, interactive cat
✅ Someone who doesn’t mind a little “help” with their laptop
In return, she offers:
Endless affection
Warm cuddles
Cheerful purrs
A loyal, loving presence
Trixie is ready to bring joy, comfort, and companionship to her new family. She’s a truly special girl who will make a wonderful addition to a home that enjoys a friendly, affectionate cat — and is happy to let her be the star of the show.
📍Trixie is currently with Laura in Twickenham
DOUBLE THE TROUBLE, DOUBLE THE LOVE
Meet Flopsy & Babar — two gorgeous 7-week-old girls looking for their forever home together.
These two aren’t biological sisters, but they’ve been together from a very young age and are completely bonded, so they must be adopted as a pair.
Flopsy is a confident little lady who loves doing her own thing… until it’s time to play with her siblings! She’s independent, curious, and absolutely lives for Friday night chicken parties.
Babar is a tiny fighter with a huge personality. After losing her first cat mummy, she joined another litter — but sadly that mummy became too poorly to care for the kittens, so they all were hand reared. Babar was almost put to sleep, but thanks to Protected Paws she was given a chance… and now she is thriving. She adores snuggles and definitely does not appreciate being told what to do.
* they need a home with a garden
* must be adopted together
* will be happy in a household with children and/or kitten friendly pets
This dynamic duo will be ready for collection from 24th May.
📍 Currently in foster in Fulham, London

Get ready for the cutest and craziest gals on the block 😎
Meet Storm (diluted grey tortie) & Shadow (black) who are 6 week old sisters, ready to adopt on/after 7 June. They must be adopted as a pair.
We spoke to Storm & Shadow to get the lowdown on their sister love.
Shadow - professional play fighter and wind-up merchant.
Storm- professional explorer. Thinks Shadow is "a bit much."
Interviewer: Storm - We hear you’re a bit of an adventurer?
Storm: My life is basically a big game of “The Floor is Lava”.
Interviewer: Right, ok…..and you Shadow. We hear you like to play fight?
Shadow: First of all, it’s not "fighting," it’s kitten athletics. I’m just testing the structural integrity of your shoelaces. You’re welcome.
Also, did you know your thumb looks like a very slow-moving mouse? Because it does. And it’s going down.
Interviewer: So, what are you looking for in a human and home?
Storm: Like to be supervised from atop of the fridge, or inside a cupboard, or anywhere that’s small and awkward to get into? I’m your girl.
Shadow: Must have thick socks and a fast-moving feather wand.
Interviewer: Any final words for your fans?
Storm: If you want a quiet life, keep scrolling…we will need:
✅ Garden/outside access
✅ Fine with children - only if they’re willing to join me in my adventure
✅ We’re probably ok with 1 other cat but we’ve not “been tested” …..if they enjoy adventure and a wrestle, they’re probably alright
Ready to double the trouble and the love?

Gideon the fancy kitten with a sprinkle of sass!
Gideon is approximately 9 months old. He was surrendered to a vet. Gideon is cute little Persian and is sweet but he is a little worried so can occasionally swear at you.
Gideon would do best in a single cat household, one with older children and outdoor access.
Can you add a little designer spice to your family?

Could you be Joe’s human? He is now all ready for adoption!
Joe came into our care a couple of months ago and he was a boy completely broken.
Six years ago, he was taken in off the streets by an elderly lady who, heartbreakingly, could barely care for herself let alone Joe. Joe is now about 13 years old. The condition he arrived in, and the smell clinging to his coat, told us that the environment he lived in must have been truly horrendous. He was absolutely filthy, neglected in every possible way.
The lady who loved him sadly passed away. It appears she had little to no support before she died and Joe stayed by her side, waiting with her body for several weeks before they were discovered. We still don’t understand how he managed to survive.
When Joe finally reached us, he was in a terrible state.
He was suffering from severe dental disease, covered in layers of filth, and passing bloody diarrhoea.
He is still quite shy but has been doing well in his wonderful foster home and now would love to find a safe, loving home of his own. He would like to be the only cat and would love access to a garden.
